A rank is not a decision.
You get a number in June. Three weeks later you've chosen where the next four years happen. Mapank gives you the real data behind that choice, and someone who will sit with you while you make it.
How many options a rank actually leaves you
JoSAA 2026, final round · OPEN, gender-neutral · 1,431 institute-and-branch combinationsEvery number here comes from published JoSAA data, and we cite where each one came from.
The three weeks nobody prepares you for
Two years of preparation come down to a handful of decisions: which colleges to list, in what order, whether to freeze or float, whether to take a seat now or wait for round four.
Those three weeks shape the next four years more than most of the two years did. And they're the part you've never practised, because you only ever do them once.
That's the whole job we've taken on: knowing that process properly, so that when it's your turn you're making decisions instead of reading instructions.
Whatever your result says
Most of this industry is built around students who did well. We think the students who didn't need help more, not less.
You have a rank that opens doors
Now it's about which. Branch versus brand. Home state versus outside. A safe seat now or a better one three rounds later.
We work through choice order, round-by-round rank movement, and the trade-offs most people only discover after they've locked a seat.
You have a result you weren't hoping for
There are real paths here, and more of them than you'd think — GFTIs, state quota, credible private institutions, and for NEET students BDS, AYUSH, nursing and paramedical routes.
Some options are worth taking and some are expensive traps. Telling those apart is most of what we do, including working out honestly whether another attempt is the better call.
How we work
- Our only customer is you. Students and families pay us, so your interest is the only one we have.
- You get probabilities and reasoning, with the data we used, so you can check the logic rather than take our word for it.
- You keep control of your own forms. We sit with you while you fill them in, and your login stays yours.
- We'll tell you when a college is a bad deal — fees, bonds, seat-leaving penalties and all — even when that's not what you were hoping to hear.
- Keep studying wherever you already study. We're not a coaching institute; our work starts when the result arrives.
See what a rank really got, round by round
Most sites publish last year's final closing rank. That single number hides the useful part: cutoffs drift between rounds as candidates freeze, float and withdraw.
Our explorer shows all five rounds separately, so you can see which branches move a long way — where waiting pays off — and which barely move at all.
The calendar, kept honest
We mark clearly what NTA, JoSAA and MCC have actually announced and what's still to come, and we update it the day an official notification lands.
We're just getting started
Mapank is new. Right now we're publishing what we know for free, here and on our channels, and working with a small number of students directly.
Tell us what you're stuck on — it genuinely decides what we write next.
